I told you all earlier about how my 6 year old just started playing baseball. We are all so excited about it! He had his first game last week, and they had only actually had 2 practices before that game. At each practice he never actually got to run the bases and learn how the game is played. The younger kids on the team were mostly just learning to catch and throw the ball and they did a little batting as well.
We were a little nervous the first game, but not near as nervous as our son. He ended up being the first up to bat at the very beginning of the game! You should have seen him just standing there all unsure of what to do. He did great though! He hit the first ball thrown at him!
He played a really good game and even scored for the team. He is so nervous about playing ball, but I really do hope he sticks with it because he has a good arm on him and is pretty good at hitting as well. I’m so proud of him!
