As most of you know last Thursday was our 2 year old’s birthday. We celebrated by inviting family over for a party on Saturday. The party went really well. We had an Elmo birthday cake, which he loved! He kept saying he wanted to look at his “Melmo!” So cute!
I will admit that I did not make either of these cakes. I wish I was a master cake baker/decorator, however my cakes never look the way they are supposed to look.
The next cake is the cake that we picked up at the local grocery store and ate on his birthday. (We saved the Elmo cake for his party.)
The kids had fun with a pinata. We opted for the pull string pinata this time since there were a lot of little ones. It didn’t take long though and they had it broke open and candy was everywhere! He was very pleased with all of his presents he received, especially his Yo Gabba Gabba toy and videos! I don’t know what it is about that show, but he insists on watching it even when it is not on! Every time I put the movie in though it only keeps his attention for a little bit and then he’s off playing or something. But I don’t dare turn that movie off! The minute I do that he realizes Gabba is no longer singing and dancing around on our tv screen and he is MAD.
I am so sorry that I haven’t been posting pics and updates for you all as much as I normally do. With the baby on the way and school coming to an end, and now a vacation coming up towards the end of the week I have been so busy. I hope that once we are back from vacation, kids are out of school, and baby is almost here things might slow down a bit. Of course, that is wishful thinking I’m sure.
I hope you all are enjoying nice weather where you are at. I am starting to swell and feeling more and more huge every day. I just keep telling myself I don’t have much longer and eventually I will be able to see my ankles again…I hope!
