4th of July Summer Grilling Fun!

Happy 4th of July friends!

Weather you are celebrating with friends or spending the day with your family, I’m sure many of you will be enjoying some yummy food on the grill! Today is one of the biggest grilling days all year long, and we are excited to share it with you!

Below are a couple of yummy Gluten-Free Recipes you can enjoy this 4th of July, or any other day of the year!

Sausage and Veggie Kabobs:

(Servings: 6)

  • 1 (12-ounce) package Hormel® Natural Choice® Original Smoked Sausage, cut into 1/2-inch chunks
  • 1 small red onion, cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 1 (15-ounce) can small white potatoes, cut in half if large
  • 1 green bell pepper, cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 1 red bell pepper, cut into 1-inch pieces
  • Olive oil

1.) Prepare Grill for medium heat

2.) Alternately thread sausage, onion, potatoes and bell peppers onto 6 metal or wooden skewers. Lightly brush each kabob with oil.

3.) Grill kabobs 10 minutes or until heated thoroughly.

Coconut Curry Pork Chops:

(Serving Size: 4)

  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 4 Hormel® Always Tender® Boneless CenterCut Chop- Regular
  • 1 (14-ounce) can unsweetened coconut milk
  • 1 tablespoon red curry paste
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

1.) In large skillet, heat butter and oil over medium high heat. Add pork chops; cook until browned on both sides. Season with salt and pepper, if desired. Reduce heat to medium. Remove chops from skillet; wrap in aluminum foil.

2.) Shake can of coconut milk. Whisk coconut milk into skillet drippings. Whisk in curry paste. Bring to a simmer.

3.) Return pork chops and accumulated juices to simmering sauce; cook, turning chops over once, 5 to 6 minutes. Do not allow sauce to boil; reduce heat if necessary.

    Super recipes for today! We will be grilling at a party today. I do like to make some grilled vegetables and probably fish also!

    Yum and yummy! Never tried sausage, always used beef, pork or chicken. Will have to try that. Curry is not a big hit with our kids 🙁
