7 Boys—-Say WHAT!?

That’s right! For the summer I will have 7 boys, about 45 hours a week. My sister has to work, her job does not stop just because school is out, therefore she must go to work and her children must go to a sitter. Since I already have 5 boys, we both sort of figured, what’s 2 more? Well, I’ll tell you what 2 more is…

It’s more laughs, more adventures and more fun!

Ok, so we are only day 2 into it, but we have already managed to check out a neat park, stop for free ice cream, make yummy homemade corn dog muffins (recipe coming soon–I promise!), and much much more! I can just see this being a really awesome summer!

Do you have big plans for the summer?

Below are some activity ideas to keep kids busy during summer vacation…

1.) Visit the local parks—you’d be surprise how many parks there are in your area (I had no idea half of the fun things we had around town)

2.) Go for nature walks. Making a list of things for the child to find along the way can make this even more fun. Children love adventures!

3.) Visit the library. Story time can give both of you a much needed quiet moment, but it can also be a great time for you to walk around and pick out books while your little one enjoys a story. Or, simply bring your child to the library and bond over a book or take some books home to read together.

4.) Have a lunch date. Going to a restaurant can be great fun for both of you, but having a picnic in the park can sometimes be even more fun and a lot less expensive.

5.) Visit the museums on days that are half priced or free.

6.) Go paint pottery or build a bear.

7.) Set up a playdate with a neighbor or friend. If you don’t know anyone then look for a local MOPS or church group.

8.) Bubbles and sidewalk chalk!

9.) Fly kites at the park—or in your yard.

10.) Go for a bike ride.

I could go on and on. You get the idea…have fun! Get outdoors, do something adventurous and explore your town!

I love your positive, upbeat attitude. I have girls, but over Memorial Day my nephews were here and they have an entirely different energy!
It is so sweet of you to help your sister. Have fun bonding with all your boys. ๐Ÿ™‚
