Is the weekend almost over already?
The weekends seem to fly by so fast. We had a pretty relaxing weekend though. Friday night it was a little rainy and not really all that nice out so hubby and the boys decided to forgo the football game. Our school was playing the team right next to us, so it was going to be a pretty good game, but we just really didn’t want to take the kids out, plus it wasn’t a home game. We ended up losing the game, but it was a pretty close game. I know because while they were not at the game they were sitting in the kitchen with the radio on yelling and hollering at the radio like it was going to talk back to them or someone on the football field was actually going to hear them and do what they said. It’s pretty funny when the boys get all into something like this.
Saturday I had planned on going to the grocery store, but I just couldn’t seem to get motivated. I was really enjoying just staying around the house getting things done and getting some relaxation time. The neighbors called and invited our 3 older boys over, so they went over there to play for a few hours. It was so quiet in my house, minus the football that was on the television ALL day long! I decided after about the 2 game or maybe it was the 4th, I lost track, that I was going to do something productive (besides clean the house because one can only do so much of this before they feel they need a break.) So, the baby and I went through the closet, found him a cute outfit and I followed him around outdoors with my camera. I got a bunch of really cute pics of him. Unfortunately most of them have his face in them and I’m not able to show those to you, but I did get a few of him from behind so you can get the idea. 🙂
So we are driving in the vehicle (on our way to Grandma and Grandpa’s house) and we are all talking about something I can not remember the exact subject, but somehow the subject completely turns and we are talking about what I look like when I wake up in the morning. I’m still not really sure how we got on that subject, but my 9 year old looks at me with his cheesiest grin and says “Mom, you look like an 80’s disco dancer when you wake up.” Ok, really? Where do they come up with this stuff? An 80’s disco dancer? Silly boy! So now they are all teasing that Mom is an 80’s disco dancer. Of course when we were home later I had to come in and wrestle him completely out of the blue when he was unsuspecting. Teach you to mess with MOM! ha ha!
