I felt that title was fitting for tonight’s post. My internet hasn’t been working much the last couple of days, so I’m going to try this from my phone. I apologize ahead of time for any errors. These smart phones aren’t always smarter than us and sometimes correct things that shouldn’t be corrected.
Last week my husband and I went and did something that took a lot of thought and consideration…we went in for a vasectomy. I guess I should probably say that he went in for the vasectomy because I just sat in the waiting room and was there for support. After the birth of our 5th son we decided that we are ready to start the next chapter of our lives. We love our boys and feel that God has blessed us more than we ever could have dreamed.
Now comes the funny part…not that there is anything funny about getting a vasectomy, but when you live in a house full of boys you learn that they can find humor in almost anything. So I’m not real sure if the boys overheard talk about what was going on or what, but they did know Dad wad having a procedure and might be a little sore. Well, one of the boys mentioned that Dad was getting his weiner chopped off (his words, not mine.) Of course, I explained to them that this was not going to happen, and I really thought he understood, that is until this happened….Shortly after surgery my husband is in the bathroom trying to get himself dressed (not easy to do by yourself, so he calls me in to help,) when I walk into the bathroom one of the boys follows behind. He stops fast in his tracks, runs out of the room and is yelling….hey guys, Dad still has a weiner! I tell you, I just about died laughing!
Boys will be boys….
