I hate when my babies cry. I especially hate when they are crying because I have to leave them. I don’t leave often, but on the occassion that I do my youngest gets really upset. Yesterday I had a funeral to attend, so my hubby stayed home with the 3 boys that weren’t in school at the time (our oldest was in school.) When I went to walk out the door my youngest started crying and saying “Mommy, Mommy, Mommy!” It really broke my heart! I have a real hard time leaving when he is doing this. I knew I had to leave and it made it so much easier on me when Daddy scooped him up in his arms and comforted him for me. Of course since Daddies are full of fun and games he was fine. I felt really bad leaving my hubby with the kids for the day with a long list of things to do including go to the doctor with all 3 kids! You know what though, he did it all and did not complain one bit. What a great Daddy! 🙂
My baby learned a new word. He is really starting to talk a lot lately, and has been repeating a lot of things that his older brothers say, especially his 4 year old brother. So the other day my 4 year old was upset because I wouldn’t give him a cookie before supper and he called me a Meanie. I had no idea the baby was even paying any attention until later on when he came up to me and said “Mommy Meanie!” Kids, they really do know how to pull our heartstrings, don’t they?
My 4 year old woke up this morning in a nice cheery mood. Actually, all of the boys woke up in cheery moods today. It was a pretty nice morning around here today. I guess everyone got a good amount of sleep last night. When my 4 year old was eating breakfast this morning I heard him tell my husband this…”Daddy, aren’t Deucer (that is baby’s nickname the kids gave him) and me the cutest kids you ever did see?” I just thought that was so funny and so cute!
Well I must get back to cleaning while the kids are in school. There will be more to come on Raising My 4 Sons soon…
