I’m great at growing children, but not so great with flowers. I try though, I really do. I can somehow manage to remember everything there is to do in my home from the laundry, dishes, appointments, cooking and so forth, but I can never seem to remember to water my flowers…well, not often, that is. I tell you, I’m horrible.
I was pretty excited when I heard about the new CobraCo EcoLiner hanging basket and that I was going to receive one free for review from Avant Garden! What makes this basket so different? I’ll tell you…
It is a high-quality hanging basket liner that’s actually better for your plants, yourself and the earth. It’s made from recycled paper products and is completely biodegradable (the liner that is). Don’t let that fool you though because it’s still very strong…strong enough to support your plants. The best part (for me) is that the EcoLiner retains 30% more water! This means that it requires 50% less watering than plants in coco-lined baskets. That’s huge for me because I only remember to water my plant half the time anyway!
The baskets themselves are made from a vinyl-coated steel that keeps your basket rust-free for seasons. They also have a powder-coated steel chain that you can attach from your basket, making it easy to hang just about anywhere.
What gets me is that the EcoLiner is a paper mache liner that is fabricated from recycled paper, yet it works wonderfully! I am super excited that I won’t be watering my plants near as much (not that I was watering them as much as I should have been to begin with) and that my walk up to my house is pretty again with flowers! I love my flowers, I just sometimes forget to care for them…shame on me! Life is busy, but Avant Garden makes it easier for busy Moms like me!

My wife has enough plants in our house to sustain the neighborhood with Oxygen for eternity. Sometimes I feel like I live in a jungle. Not really but we do have quite a bit. Some plants have lasted decades and some last just weeks. These baskets would make a nice addition to our pergola, heck the rain would probably keep them hydrated enough.
I never know when to water my plants and this would work for me too. I love that it’s biodegradable too.

I have been having the same issue with flowers. They are so beautiful but they do take time to care for. Does this hold the water in it so you don’t have to water them as much?
