I am always happy to find products that are good for us. I like to drink water, however I get tired of plain water all of the time and I like to add some flavor to my water from time to time.
I was sent a sample pack of Ayala’s Herbal Water the other day.
My boys are always really excited when we receive food or drinks to review. They are funny boys! The water was barely cold before they were pulling them out of the refrigerator to try them!
We were sent all 6 flavors, and I’m going to be honest when I tell you what we thought of each flavor. I always give honest reviews of all of the products that we try. My boys would never give a dishonest review even if you asked them too! Kids are so honest, it’s great-most of the time! 🙂
Here are the Flavors and our opinions…
Ginger Lemon Peel- I am not a big fan of ginger to begin with (ever since I was pregnant with my first and tried to take it for morning sickness and got sick afterward I have never really liked it.) So, this one was not my favorite.
Lemongrass Mint Vanilla- This was our favorite of all of the flavors! My 4 year old absolutely loved this one! He was sitting in his seat, took a sip and says, “Ahhhhh now, that’s refreshing!” It was so cute and funny at the same time! How’s that for a review? he he
Lavender Mint- This is another that I’m not a huge fan of. I really don’t like Lavender at all (the scent or the taste.) However, my sister tried this one and she liked it.
Lemon Verbena Geranium- Another one that I’m not a huge fan of. I’m not sure what it was in this one, but it was just not something I would drink a lot of.
Cloves cardamom Cinnamon- This one was too strong for me. I could take a sip here and there but was not able to drink a lot of it. I’m thinking some of these would be really nice warmed up like tea and sipped though.
Cinnamon Orange Peel- Way too strong for me. This was probably one of my least favorites. My 4 year old loved it though!
I am a big fan of herbal tea, and I really thought I would love all of these flavored waters, however I think that I make my tea pretty weak compared to how these waters were. You could probably water them down a little more, but we didn’t. My older boys did not like any of the waters, but my 4 year old loved almost every one of them! I had my sister try all of the waters and she liked all but the Cinnamon flavored waters.
I think you just have to have an acquired taste, but if you love herbal teas this is a product that you really might enjoy.
