Years ago I read somewhere that a child’s shoes are very important in the way they feel about themselves. The article (I can’t remember where I read it) said that the shoes on a child’s feet could help or hinder their own self esteem. Is this true? I don’t know for sure, but I can definitely tell a difference in my children. Years ago I wouldn’t have even thought of this, but now I see it. My boys never really cared about name brands (until recently) but they always wanted a certain sort of shoe, weather it be the style or the brand, it was something that they chose themselves and that made them happy. I have always let them take part in choosing their own shoes.
Don’t they say that you can tell a lot about a person by the shoes on their feet?
(I should have taken the pic of the shoes as soon as we got them, but my little guy put them on his feet immediately and took off with them.
I had to take this pic while he was sleeping. I don’t think he has taken the shoes off of his feet much since he has received them. He loves them!)
We were given the chance to review a pair of shoes from Olly Shoes. They have some super cool shoes there and while I’m sure my older boys could have found shoes that they loved on the site, they already have their school shoes, so I picked up a pair for my 3 year old in the preschool shoe section.
The shoes we got are super cool and so easy that he can put them on himself! (I love this!)
