Sonic is OPEN! Our Sonic closed for the winter and I was so disappointed! I was craving a Mocha Java Chiller and I wasn’t able to get one. The boys were excited when we loaded up and headed to Sonic for lunch today. Since they just opened last week they are giving coupons and stuff from time to time. Today the boys each got a balloon with their happy meals.
When we got home and I opened my car door a balloon went flying out the door! My 6 year old was heartbroken to have lost his FAVORITE green balloon! I was so impressed when my 4 year old offered his balloon to his brother. However, my 6 year old was a bit cranky and still quite upset and he told his brother that it just wasn’t the same because his balloon was green and this balloon his brother was trying to give him was blue.
4 year old walks into the other room and is in there for quite some time. He comes walking back into the living room all excited and says….”I have a green balloon for you!” Of course my 6 year old isn’t believing him until he sees for himself that his 4 year old brother took a green marker and colored his entire balloon green for him!
How sweet is that!?
I just love when they get along like this.
My husband has been away on business since last Sunday. He will be home tomorrow though (thank goodness! Mommy is getting tired!) While he was gone Grandma (my Mom) came over and we made a yummy Peanutbutter Pie. The boys loved it!
Here is the recipe if anyone is interested.
It’s just something we threw together, but I’m sure others have made similar versions.
Peanut Butter Pie Recipe
1 Cup Peanut Butter
1 block of Cream Cheese
1/2 Cup Powdered Sugar
2 Tbsp Milk
2 Tsp Imitation Vanilla
1 Container Cool Whip
1 Graham Cracker Pie Shell
(Optional-Chocolate Syrup)
Mix Peanut Butter and Cream Cheese. Add Powdered Sugar, milk and vanilla. Add Cool Whip. Once everything is mixed and smooth place it in the pie shell and drizzle top with chocolate syrup. Refrigerate and serve.
Before I finish this post I have to say that my 6 year old just started baseball and my hubby and I couldn’t be more excited! My husband was the pitcher all through high school and I played baseball when I was in elementary, so we are excited about him playing! Our oldest had no interest in playing baseball, so this is our first time with this sport.
Last night was our first practice. It lasted 2 hours, which seemed a little long for Kindergarten and 1st graders (he does have a couple of 2nd and 3rd graders on his team too.) All of the kids had fun though and they seemed to learn a lot. They have another practice tomorrow and their first game is on Tuesday already! I can’t wait to take pics for you all!
Here is a pic from practice last night. ๐
He was a little nervous about playing because he is still learning, but the boy has a heck of an arm! I can’t wait to see them when they are actually playing and not just learning the rules of the game. ๐
More to come on Raising My 4 Sons…
