It has been a few days since I have blogged. I have been spending time with my family and celebrating our oldest child’s 9th birthday. Wow, where does the time go? I got some of his baby pictures out tonight and was looking through them and I just can’t believe it has been 9 years already!
Yesterday he invited some friends over. A few of them were not able to make it, however (my boys included) there were about 8 boys here. They had a lot of fun playing football in the yard as well as some other activities. I was sure to fill them full of cupcakes and pop (caffeine free of course!) It was a real good time.
Today we had family members over for cake and ice cream. A few of my family (my 2 sisters and their families and my Mom) stuck around and we ordered pizza for supper. We had a really nice night visiting and the kids all had so much fun playing together. It always amazes me at what funny things a bunch of little boys can come up with.
Our oldest is real big into Star Wars, so he had a R2D2 cake which was SO very yummy! I did not make the cake, however I wish I was this creative. We have found a local cake lady who does wonderful work! 🙂
Well it is getting late, all the boys are in bed and I still have much to clean up. More to come on Raising My 4 Sons…
