~I had this post all written and ready to post, but I felt I MUST add this…
The other day I tried the Tot Bot on my “almost” 2 year old son. I know that having 2 in diapers is going to be quite expensive, but my son is really just not wanting to potty train. He has his days when he does great and then he has his days when he doesn’t want to go near the potty. Anyways, I tried the Tot Bot on him. I actually had planned to put it on him, take a pic and then take it off of him, however he liked it and didn’t want me to take it off of him. I must admit that I was very skeptical and thought for sure that he would pee right through the diaper. It just didn’t look bulky enough to hold the pee of a toddler. He tends to wait and then pee a whole lot at once. We were getting ready to leave the house, so I thought I should take the cloth diaper off of him and put him in a disposable diaper just so we were safe while we were out. Like I said, I hadn’t used these diapers before and I just didn’t know how they would hold up. When I went to take the diaper off of him he threw a fit! He wanted to wear his new diaper! However, after unstrapping the diaper I noticed that the inside was wet. He had peed in it and you couldn’t even tell from the outside! Wow, was I impressed!
I put my little guy on the potty for a minute (that’s about as long as he would tolerate today) and when I got him off of the potty I got a disposable diaper out to put on him because he had just peed in his new cloth diaper, so I had to rinse it and set it aside to be put in the wash. When I put the disposable on my son he threw a fit and ripped it off! He wanted his new cloth diaper!!! I love that he loves his new diaper, but it looks like Mommy is going to have to invest in more diapers…and not just for the baby!
I just thought I should add that. It really is never too late to switch to cloth diapers.~
