We do a lot of crafts in our family. It is actually one of my favorite things to do with the boys. They will stay busy for hours doing a good craft. The only downfall to our love of crafts is the mess! You know what I’m talking about if you have ever sat a small child at a table with a bunch of paints or glue. I do however think that the fun is so well worth the mess later.

Recently I came across a website that has the cutest little aprons. When I showed them to my 4 year old he got ALL excited! For those of you that remember we did a craft not long ago and he got paint ALL over his clothing, and I couldn’t get it out! I was a bit frustrated by this and have since been trying to find him a fun cover up.

We chose the Blue Hippos on Green apron. It is so cute! I actually thought it was even cuter in person! One thing that I really love about this apron is that it can be washed!

My 4 year old put the apron on immediately. He actually wore it most of the day and as you can see in the pictures he even had it on with his pajamas. I thought it was so cute that I am actually using the pics of him in his pajamas for my review. He also stuffed the pockets with napkins and plastic spoons and was pretending he was playing restaurant. It was so cute!

A little about the product…
Art Smock
“Busy Bee” apron/smocks are perfect for any little artist and are comfortable enough to wear all day over your childs’ clothing! Made from cotton and trimmed with a contrasting color, these apron/smocks have it all! An oversized pocket on the front to stash snacks, crayons or markers. The back has a tie closure for easy on and off. Machine wash/dry. Monogramming available. Available colors are pictured below.

A little about the Owner of Busy Bee Basics…
She is a stay-at-home mom to two children under the age of two. (You go girl!)
Her goal of getting her MBA was to start her own business, and like everything else in her life, she rushed into it! She says she has no regrets. One of her favorite things to do is to create, whether it is for Sibylla’s nursery or a blanket or outfit for her own kids!

She love to bake, garden, scrapbook, paint, and she even installed hardwood floors in her house in Maine! (She really can do it ALL!) She is also a big outdoor enthusiast. She likes to ski with her husband (She used to be on Ski Patrol) kayak, sail, and fish. She takes her kids to Stroller strides twice a week and is in karate twice a week! She LOVES being busy! (We sure can tell! That is great! I think most of you would agree when I say that she truly is an amazing woman!)

She says she, like any other mom, has an addiction to baby “stuff”; blankets, burp cloths, bibs, you name it, I buy it! So she decided one day to start making things that she likes to buy, and offer them to other moms at a reasonable price. (Why not? We are so glad that you did!)

Her own words…
So here I am, sewing what I sell and selling what I sew! I love it! The best part is sharing it all with you!

Be sure to go to her site and check out all of the other great items she has to offer as well!

This was a great review. I went and checked out the website. What an awesome thing, to use her talents and interests, while staying home with her children, to bring in an extra income! I loved that you shared your son, and his love of his new arts apron! Thank you.
