So, I know I have been somewhat quiet lately. I guess I probably should have taken some time to explain what our family has been up to. You see, I’ve been juggling a lot of different things, and it never really crossed my mind to explain it all on the blog, but today I’m going to do just that.
Okay, so my friends and family have always said that we were a busy family. I mean, we flip houses and homeschool, but last year my husband and I decided to do something new. We decided to get our real estate license. I was so nervous! We’ve always had a passion for real estate and our broker has been telling us for years that we should get our license. We just finally decided to listen!
So, now not only are we homeschooling and flipping houses, but we are also selling houses and helping others find their dream homes. I must say, while I was totally nervous in the beginning, I am now SO glad we went ahead and stepped out of our comfort zone and went for it! We love every minute of it!
One thing I’ve found though is that I need to be organized. We have a lot going on and I need to make sure everything is where I need it to be. I need to keep my homeschool stuff organized, my real estate stuff, my sports mom stuff (yes, I have stuff for sports that needs organized, like game schedules and gear). My husband is also on the committee/board for a couple different organizations and I need to make sure that all of his stuff is organized as well.
Thirty-One Gifts has been a HUGE help in keeping everything organized! When I’m organized, I stay sane! haha! People always ask me how I manage to keep everything straight and do everything and I honestly think it’s because of my organizing!
So, I must tell you about my favorite new bag! I love this bag because I can fit my (huge) planner and my laptop both in it, but it’s lightweight when I just want to throw my keys and wallet in it and head out the door. The bag is called Around Town Tote– Ooh-la-la and I got it in the Olive Pebble color. I think it’s the perfect fall color!
I used to carry a somewhat small wallet that I crammed full of as much as I possibly could because I was using a small crossbody bag and I didn’t have a lot of room. I was super excited to upgrade to the All About the Benjamins wallet! It’s the perfect size and everything fits so well—my checkbook, cards, notes, coupons, rewards cards…it all fits perfectly! I love that I can also grab the wallet out of my bag and just run into the store quick with my wallet in hand if I don’t feel like carrying my whole bag in.
What are you doing to stay organized?
I just ordered a Fold N File to go into one of my bags to keep all of my files in order when I’m traveling back and forth from the office and appointments. I can’t wait for it to arrive!

Thanks! I feel like there are parts of my life that I still need to get organized, but I’m so glad I have started in the right direction! I’m not sure I could survive without my organizing bags and totes in my life right now! 🙂
My physical planner helps me stay organized. I find it so much more helpful than using any sort of app, personally.
I agree! I’ve tried the apps, but they just weren’t for me. I once had all of my events somehow disappear! Talk about confusion and chaos! I had no idea where I was to be and when I was to be there! I’m all about the paper planners these days! 🙂
I’m not nearly as busy as you are. I have a bag I use to keep all my swimming things organized. Congrats on you two getting your license.
