Wow, we had a busy weekend!
Last week my hubby was gone for a couple of days (business trip for work) so the boys and I visited with Grandparents 2 of the days he was gone.
The first day we went to my Mom’s house and the boys had a blast riding bikes and playing in the half-filled swimming pool! We had tacos and played outdoors almost all day. It was an all in all fun day! The boys love going to Grandma’s house!

The boys were excited when Daddy returned home late Friday night. I let them stay up so they could visit with Daddy for a bit before going to bed. Needless to say they were a little cranky in the morning, however their frowns turned upside down when they found out that we were going to attend a local festival. We had great fun at the festival and I wish I would have taken pics there, but I didn’t. It was very hot and after all of the walking I really just needed to sit down!
After the festival we went to my sister’s house for her 3 year old’s birthday party.
We played outdoors most of the day in the kiddie pool and swing set/sand box and so forth.
I lathered all of the kids up with sunblock and for some reason didn’t think to put any on myself.
Have I ever mentioned I have VERY fair skin? My shoulders, are so red and hot today that I can hardly stand to have them touched! Ouch!
My hubby had to work on Sunday, however he came home around 7pm and picked us all up and brought us in to meet his new team of people that he is working with now. It was nice to put a face with the names I am always hearing. It is nice to see who my hubby has to travel with as well. The boys were super good and had a lot of fun!
All in all we had a great weekend! It was busy, and I can’t believe it’s over already, but it was a good time had by all. 🙂
Before I go I have to share what my 4 year old said to me today…
4 year old: “Mommy, can we move the kitchen upstairs?”
ME: “Why would we do that?”
4 year old: “Because I really want a basement, but kitchens are always on the floor above the basement, so if we move the kitchen upstairs then the downstairs can be our basement!”
Silly me! Why didn’t I guess that to begin with? ha ha!
