We were invited to an event at Castaway Bay water park.
They asked that we come with our swim suits and be prepared to have some fun, and they weren’t lying! We had so much fun at Castaway Bay that our boys (and my husband and I) can’t wait to go back! But first, I must tell you that we were invited to come stay at Castaway Bay overnight at no cost, however we were not compensated for our opinions and all opinions expressed are our own.
From the moment we walked in we knew we were in for a real treat! The lobby itself is so warm and inviting and the workers are so friendly and helpful. One of my boys wanted to know if we could just move into the room we stayed in!
When I say that the team at the Castaway Bay water park went above and beyond to make this a great trip for our whole family, I am definitely not exaggerating! When we got to our room we were surprised with a FUN gift basket (bucket) full of toys and other fun things for the kids to enjoy! (The whistles may or may not have disappeared when we got home.)
Great fun was had as the boys (and Dad!) competed in the arcade to see who could get the most out of the grab/claw machines. Our younger boys really enjoyed riding the little rides and our 3 year old was so excited to sit next to Snoopy that he kissed him!
When we asked our boys what their absolute favorite thing was at the water park, without hesitating, they all yelled…the wave pool! I must admit that I had a great time in the wave pool as well! It was an area that the whole family could hang out in and have fun. After going down all of the waterslides, playing in the “kiddie” area and checking out the rest of the water park, we ventured to our rooms to get ready for dinner. Dinner was served at Mango Mikes (an on-site restaurant). We ate pizza and salad while enjoying a very nice view of Lake Erie. It was so peaceful!
After dinner we all headed to the craft room to paint picture frames, color towels, make bookmarks and our family favorite…make/eat ice cream sundaes!
It may have been COLD outside, but inside the Castaway Bay water park we were enjoying 80 degree temperatures! This was definitely a great way to warm up and forget about the snow that was falling outside!
Our kids were so exhausted from the days’ events that it didn’t take them long to fall asleep. It was great getting away for a bit and meeting some of my blogger friends was fun!
Since we had such a great time we thought we might offer our fans a fun GIVEAWAY so that you can enjoy a little tropical oasis at the Castaway Bay water park yourself!
