My 4 year old attends preschool for a couple of hours on Tuesdays and Thursdays. He is becoming very independent and has been wanting to pick out his own clothes recently. This is the same child that I posted about last week that wanted to wear his “favorite pants” to school, which were actually plaid shorts. Well, today he was determined to wear his Spiderman pajama pants to school. Of course, I couldn’t allow him to wear these. Although, it would have been a pretty funny story to tell him when he is older. On Tuesday he put on a nice button up plaid shirt (he has been trying to dress in his best sweaters and nice button up shirts for school a lot lately.) Not only did he have his nice plaid button up shirt, which I thought was fine, he tried to match that plaid shirt with a pair of plaid pajama pants. I had to get a picture for you all to see. 🙂

I also thought I would post a pic real quick of my 16 week pregnant belly with baby number 5. It’s not the best pic. I was trying to hold the heavy camera myself, so this is the best I could get. You get the idea though. 🙂
We received 6 pairs of Potty Scotty potty training underwear in the mail yesterday. I was excited to get started on the potty training with our little man, however I’m having a hard time getting him to go on the potty. We put the first pair of training pants on him this morning. He has been telling me that he needs to go potty and has been sitting on the potty off and on all day, however he’s not really going. He has only peed in one pair of underwear so far today though, and when he did he was so upset. He cried and cried. As I was rinsing the underpants out he was crying the whole time. When he saw me throw the underpants into the laundry hamper he ran back there and tried to get them out. I knew he was tired and so I grabbed a diaper to put on him while he was napping. I don’t normally do this when potty training, but today was our first day, so I figured it couldn’t hurt. He was so mad at me! He threw the diaper and continued to try to put his wet Potty Scotty underpants on! You wouldn’t believe how happy he was when he saw that we actually had another DRY pair of underwear that he could put on. He has had them on ever since and has not peed in them. I’m really hoping we are on to something, but we’ll just have to wait and see. He is still young (will be 2 in May) but if he is ready then I’m ready too! I have never actually had 2 in diapers and would love to have him trained before the baby comes in July, however I won’t push him if he’s not ready. Right now it feels a little like he is pushing me. ha ha!
Be on the lookout for an upcoming review on our Potty Scotty training pants. I would really like to try them out a few days before I give you all my opinion of them. 🙂
