We are always looking for fun arts and crafts projects, and I love when I find a product that fits into several categories. We recently started our new homeschool year, and one of the first projects we were able to try out was the Color My Cookie! These kits are a great art & craft project, and I absolutely love the story behind the company.
About Color My Cookie:
In 2020, the pandemic forced the owners of Color My Cookie to close down their brick-and-mortar bakery. Unfortunately, they had to lay off 11 of their 14 employees. That’s when they started delivering DIY cookie decorating kits from the backs of their cars—and Color My Cookie was born! By the end of 2020, Color My Cookie had shipped to all 50 states and Puerto Rico and had been featured in several magazines. The staff was also growing and was back to 10, including several employees that were laid off the summer before.
The cookies are pre-iced, which preserves their freshness and provides the perfect canvas for your creativity. They include everything you need in your kit: edible watercolors, icing, edible decor, and an online tutorial where they give you tips & tricks for making your cookies come to life.
