Conversations in the Car…

I just had the funniest conversation with my boys on the way home from school (they had a half day today due to PT Conferences). Anyway, I ask the boys to help me come up with a name for a new blog I am going to be starting (Don’t worry, this blog is not going anywhere, I’m just starting a second!) Since my boys are so creative I thought maybe they could help me come up with a fun and creative name. I tell them that I already purchased the domain names Mandee Says and Manders Mind, but I was thinking maybe I wanted to go a whole different direction with the new site. So here is how our conversation went…

Me: I was thinking maybe we should come up with a really creative name. You know, something like Oompa (that is a site). Something catchy and easy to remember.

Oldest son(12): What? I don’t even know how to spell that! Are you crazy?

Me: Crazy? No, now why would you say that?

Oldest son: Mom, no one names their blogs like that.

Me: Ok, what do you suggest?

3rd Born(7): Why don’t you name it…Look at the Moon

Ok, I have to explain this one. One day I was talking to my husband and in mid sentence I stop, point out the window and say …Look at the moon! In my defense, the moon was big, bright and beautiful that night and I wanted to make sure everyone saw it before I finished my story. My husband stated that I had ADD or something because I can never tell a story without interrupting myself to say something else…sigh

Moving on…

Me: Ha ha! Lookatthemoon.com -Well, that’s probably already taken, and people would probably think that my site had to do with the moon, so that’s not going to work.

Oldest son: Yeah, and you might have some weirdos thinking it’s about butts!

Me: What?

 

And they think I’m crazy!
