CRAZY…

If I had to sum up the last couple of weeks in one word, it would have to be the title of this post, CRAZY.
With school about to be out (tomorrow is the boys’ last day) and trying to plan a vacation, which we leave for soon, life has been a bit busy. We have baseball games 3 days a week, when it isn’t raining. I’m really beginning to wonder if the rain will ever end. We are hoping and praying that it doesn’t rain the whole time we are on vacation. It seems that we are not the only ones getting a ton of rain and I feel for everyone affected by the bad weather. My heart goes out to those that have major damage. We have been lucky and I really shouldn’t complain.
My mother and father in-law just built a brand new house. It is going to be really nice and we are all very happy for them. They have waited a long time for this and it is great seeing them so happy. We all wanted to pitch in and help, so we have been spending our days and evenings at their house painting. You wouldn’t believe what we have accomplished in just a couple of days time. Of course, I’m just speaking for myself, but I’m tuckered! When I get home for a days worth of painting I feel like I need to be productive at home.
We had a birthday party last weekend, so I had the usual getting things ready for that. The party went great and our boys had a blast. We now have a 3 year old! Boy does the time fly! Since the party I have been working on getting the winter clothing packed away and all of the summer clothing washed and ready to wear. That is a huge task when there are 7 in the household. I have also been working on going through everything and donating our old clothing to new homes.
Tonight when I finished painting we started shampooing. Did I say we? I meant, “I” started shampooing the carpets. I managed to get 4 rooms done and plan to finish the other carpeted areas in the morning. (That’s the plan anyway, but nothing every goes as planned around here.) Let’s just hope I can have the shampooer back in time!
My boys are so excited about school being out for the summer. They are also super excited about vacation. I am hoping to schedule posts to go up automatically while I am gone, however if you email me or comment and don’t hear from me, just know that I will be playing catch up when I am home from vacation, but it may take me a while to catch up since I am already a bit behind.
The boys and I were all sick AGAIN last week, but we are all healthy and doing great. Let’s hope that we are done with sicknesses for the season and can enjoy some warm weather!

CRAZY!!!!

Wow this week has been CRAZY!!!
I am sure most of you would probably think that every day in a house full of boys is crazy, and it is, but we have a normal crazy and a CRAZY crazy. This week was CRAZY crazy!
Ok, that probably didn’t make any sense to most of you, but I know there are some moms out there that completely understand and know exactly what I’m talking about…right Hattie? (He he!)
My hubby has been gone all week.
He comes home today, but was in Colorado for a business trip.
Here is a little recap of our week…
My baby is gassy and fussy.
He seems to be fine during the day and fine when I’m awake, but any time I think about laying down he is wide awake and not wanting to sleep. Oh joy! So, by now I am running on very little sleep.
My 2 year old is…well, he is 2 and let’s just say so very very curious!
He pushed a small child sized recliner all the way from the playroom in the front of the house into the kitchen just so he could stand on it to get cookies out of the cabinets! (Why he didn’t just use something closer? I have no idea!)
My Mom and a friend of hers stopped in for a bit the other day.
When they got here my older boys and the neighbor kids were all running around the yard.
They walked in to find me standing on the steps with a broom and dustpan. My 2 year old had (once again!) dumped the WHOLE entire bag of cat food down the steps! I’m really not sure what is so fun about this, but he does this often! I keep putting the cat food up, but this little guy can get to EVERYTHING!
Oh if I could have half of his energy! I really wish I could keep up with him! He will be playing in one room right next to me and before I even notice he isn’t there anymore I will hear him breaking something in the other room! No exaggerations! lol
My 5 year old is a very shy and quiet person, so everyone thinks!
When we are around ANYONE he seems so sweet and quiet, but when at home he can’t sit still!
He’s a ball of fun, but he is always standing on his head and wiggling around, which in turn causes him to be clumsy and break things!
I bought a new set of glasses earlier this week and I know at least 2 of them have been broke already!

(This is an old pic, hence the My 4 Sons.)

Does it sound crazy yet?
I have more!
This morning my older 2 boys were waiting for the bus and right before the bus came my 7 year old came running into the house crying! There are 4 boys and a little girl at this bus stop and it turns out they were rough housing and he got knocked over and jumped on. I think he cried for 20 minutes straight!
He has a big red mark on his hip/butt. I didn’t make him get on the bus because at the time he was crying very hard. This child is not normally real emotional unless something is really bothering him or he is sick, and he is my tough guy too, so I knew he was hurt. He has been really emotional this morning, so I’m hoping he is just tired and not getting sick! I kept him home for now since he is feeling crappy, and if he is feeling better, and not so emotional and stuff after bit I will take him into school.
I really don’t have anything crazy to say about my oldest. He has been helping out a lot since Dad has been gone.
I will be having Flash Giveaways tonight at 10pm EST on Facebook!
