Today was picture day at school. Of course, my 6 year old decided to fight with me about what I was making him wear (he is pretty picky and would prefer wearing comfy clothes all of the time if he could.) However, the boys put on their cute shirts and we smoothed their hair down and they were out the door with their best smile on.
Today is also my hubby’s birthday! He asked that I make him chicken, mashed potatoes and salad for supper, so we had just that! Oh, and instead of a cake he wanted brownies, so we had those for dessert…yummy!
I’m not sure if I have shared this chicken recipe yet (I don’t believe I have, but forgive me if I already have.) We call it Mexican Style Chicken.
Boneless Skinless Chicken Breasts (as much as your family will need-we use a whole bag of them for our family.)
Place these in the crock pot(I put mine in still froze and cook them all day long.)
In a bowl mix salsa and a packet of taco OR fajita seasoning (the amount depends on how chicken you are using (I added 2 jars of mild salsa, but the last time we made it I made my own salsa and didn’t measure the amount)
Add the salsa mixture over the chicken in the crock pot. (Be sure there is enough salsa to completely cover the chicken.
That’s it! Just let it cook! I serve mine with sour cream on top…yummy!

This morning my 16 month old decided he had to brush his teeth with his brothers, so he goes into the bathroom, grabs a toothbrush, walks over to the toilet, lifts the lid and spits. It was so cute! I just get a kick out of the little things they pick up on.
My 4 year old was calling me today, I walked into the living room and said…”What do you need?” My 16month old replies, “I need cookie!” He is really starting to talk lately and I just thought it was funny!
