Today was a very long day for me. I rolled out of bed this morning at 5:30am. I’m not sure how my hubby does that every day! At 5:30 in the morning I am not a very nice person! ha ha! Actually today I didn’t mind it to much. I knew I had to get up or I was going to be late for our appt. I had to take my 6 year old to a pediadontist today. We had an hour drive to get there. He had a few cavities that needed taken care of, so our dentist sent us to a specialist. Everything went really well. It was just the two of us. Daddy took the day off and stayed home with the other 3 boys. On the way home we stopped at a gas station so I could get a coffee and my little guy could get a slushy (his choice.) His mouth was still swollen and numb and it was so funny to watch him try to drink the slushy! I really shouldn’t laugh, but it was so cute!
When I got home I called and ordered the small gravel for the play area. They delivered that and the boys and Daddy leveled it all out and prepped it for the swing set. Our neighbor came over this evening and he and hubby got the swing set moved out of the middle of the yard and into the new play area. The boys were so excited, as was Mommy!!!
While we were outdoors the boys were checking out our little tomatoes and found a tomato worm (I think that is what they are called, forgive me if I’m wrong as I am really not sure.) This is actually the first time I have ever seen one of these. They are creepy looking creatures. The boys of course, broke the branch and put the worm in their tackle box. They declared that it was their new pet. They didn’t realize until later that there was actually a baby worm in there as well! Here is a pic of the boys new pet! Which I’m sure will not live long inside a closed tackle box! I guess it won’t be eating my tomatoes as long as it is in the box.
I had a dentist appointment today as well. It was such a busy day! I really don’t feel like much was accomplished today, but we did have a fun day! (Minus the trips to the dentist…no fun!)
