Earth Day Organic Chocolate Review & GIVEAWAY!!!

I have found myself checking the shelves for organic prices while shopping. I admit that I don’t always purchase the “better” products, however there are just some things that I feel better about buying organic.

When I was contacted by a company asking us to review their Organic Chocolate I thought, oh no, you can’t mess with my chocolate! Ha ha! I love chocolate, but who doesn’t!?

My boys were so excited when the box of Chocolate bars arrived that I didn’t even have time to take photos! I was able to get a few stock photos though.

I’m going to be completely honest with my review here. We tried the Dark Chocolate bar first and here is how it went…

My 2 year old took a bite, ran to the bathroom, spit in the toilet, started crying, got a wash cloth out of the drawer, wet it and proceeded to scrub his tongue!

I was seriously afraid to take a bite myself.

So, what did I think?

I thought that the dark chocolate bars weren’t very sweet. They tasted a lot like pure cocoa powder. I can see why my little guy didn’t like them because they left a weird after taste.

After scrubbing his tongue, they all decided to try the White chocolate bars.

These they finished. I did manage to get a little bite myself and I still have to be honest and say it wasn’t my favorite, however if I’m being honest here I also have to say that I’m not a huge fan of white chocolate to begin with.

My 2 year old decided that it would be fun to give the last bar away. I know, we were reviewing these, and I knew I was going to give it a try, but I thought why not let my sister take the first bite of the last bar. Little did I know, I was giving her the BEST chocolate bar of the bunch! She took a bite out of the Chocolate and Almond bar. I sat in anticipation waiting for her sour face or funny look. It never came. While I’m sitting there staring at her she asks me why I’m being so weird. I had to laugh and tell her the story. She laughs back and says, this is really good chocolate!

So, I try it, and she is right!
