Energizer has been a brand trusted by many for decades. They have supported organizations helping to make a positive impact in local communities around the world. Energizer is building on that commitment in a new way through a partnership with Habitat for Humanity. They are working with baseball legend and philanthropist Cal Ripken Jr.
Energizer will be donating more than $300,000 and 1,000 volunteer hours to Habitat for Humanity through a mutlti-city series of volunteer projects to help build new homes and revitalize existing homes for those in need.
(We think this is AWESOME!!!)
Want to get involved?
With the rising cost of utilities, we can all use a bit of help, right? (We think so!)
The kids have just got out of school and summer is just beginning to start for us here in Ohio and already it is HOT! I can only imagine what the rest of the summer will be like.
Beyond helping Habitat for Humanity, Energizer is doing something to help us ALL out! (That’s right!) In addition to the series of volunteer projects, you will see the Energizer and Habitat for Humanity partnership coming to the shelves of your local stores (be on the lookout!) Through the EnergizerUtility Cash program, you can collect codes from select Energizer battery and lighting products and redeem them online for savings, up to $25 total savings each per person/household/email address, off of your own utility bill! (How cool is that!?)
If you are like us, you are already going through a ton of batteries anyway.
The best part is that you start earning rewards with just two codes and will need only 10 codes total to earn the full $25. Or you can help make a positive impact yourself by turning the codes into a donation to Habitat for Humanity.
To enter your codes simply visit the Now That’s Positive Energy site and enter your code. The last day to redeem codes is March 31, 2013 at 11:59 p.m. ET.
How about a Giveaway!?
Since I know most of you are parents with lots of TOYS and electronics, you are going to LOVE this giveaway!

Turn off what you are not using. Open windows at night with fans to bring in the cool air. close those windows when the temp in and out gets to be the same. Then the air inside stays cooler a little longer. Close blinds a little can keep things cooler. Open them up for some great sun and a little warmth when needed.
