Have you ever heard the saying, Families that Play Together, Stay Together?
Time is important, but there isn’t always a lot of it. We often find ourselves balancing between work, social responsibilities and everything else life tends to throw at us, but when we really look at the big picture, it’s the time spent with our family that is the most important. C.S. Lewis stated this: Children are not a distraction from more important work, they are the most important work.
How many times have you shooed your child away while trying to get work done? Don’t worry, I’ve done it. I think we all have, we are human. But, what you can do is make sure you set time aside to spend with your children every single day. We decided that for our family we would do family game/craft nights. Now, our older boys weren’t real thrilled when we first mentioned this, but I must say that they are quickly warming up to it. We always make sure we have things that everyone will enjoy.
And so this is why we decided that having a Family Game Night with close family members might be fun!
We received the game, American Bible Challenge from Family Christian Stores. I invited some family members over to play with us. Everyone is busy and so it took a bit before we could all get together. When we did end up getting together we vowed to make more time for game get-togethers from now on! Yes, we had THAT much fun!
I wasn’t sure how the game would go over, but it has been quite fun and we were happy to add it to our family game night! The little ones even sat on our laps, helping us move our pieces and laughing with us throughout the night.
Have you ever played the game, American Bible Challenge?
We encourage you to give it a try.

I so agree with you, we spend game time together at least once a week. It keeps us all closer and less likely to fight.
