I really do believe that, families that play together, stay together.
Think about it, how often do you play with your children?
Could you be spending a little more time with them?
Why not start a family game night?
We all get busy and sometimes we just need to sit back and relax.
Why not make a fun night where the whole family has a chance to sit back, laugh and enjoy each others’ company? That’s what we like to do!
We are going to be sharing a review with you each month for the next few months of the wonderful Bananagrams games.
Not only are these games super fun for the whole family, but they are small and easy to store and take with you on the go. (We like to have games available for when we have to wait somewhere for long periods. It keeps the children interacting and they are less likely to get bored and have a meltdown.
Bananagrams was named Toy Fair 2009’s Game of the Year!
It is a fast and fun anagram game that drives players BANANAS!
You won’t need a pencil, paper or even a board to play this game. Bananagrams comes in a small portable banana shaped pouch that is perfect for kids from 7-97 years old! (Yes, I said KIDS 97 years old because it doesn’t matter your age, you will feel like a kid again when sitting back, relaxing and laughing with one another. Go ahead, try it!)
But wait, Bananagrams is available online as a FREE Facebook Application and on the iPad, iPhone and iTouch as well as in a series of books. They also recently launched in Spanish, Hebrew, French, Italian, Norwegian and German as well as a larger version- DOUBLE Bananagrams, the big banana for the larger bunch (for 16+players)!
Players race against each other to build crossword grids and use all their letter tiles. There’s no turn-taking to be found here—it all happens at once and it’s a race to the finish. No matter how old you are and how many anagram games you’ve played, Bananagrams is sure to drive you absolutely bananas … in the best possible way!
Not only did we have a lot of fun playing the game the first time, but we have played it many times since.
We had so much fun with this game that we had to try all of the others out right away!
Be on the lookout for fun reviews of games including:

We love family game nights when we can squeeze them in. It’s more difficult now that my boys are grown (26 & 22) & out of the house, but thankfully both live in the same town as us so we see them quite often. All of us really enjoy the time we can get together for a little friendly competition, which now includes our oldest son’s fiancee. Thanks for the review…I’ll have to check out the iPad app for this one.
