Yes, it looks like the are peeing on the brick wall…ha ha! No, they are not, but when I told them to turn around so I could get a pic from behind for my blog and off their backpacks this is how they stood…ha ha!
Today was the boys’ first day back to school. As I have said in the past, our oldest is in the 4th grade now and our 2nd born is in Kindergarten. Our Kindergarten doesn’t have the all day every day schedule yet, so he will be home with us tomorrow. They have a schedule that pretty much works out that they go two days one week and three the next. I was surprised at how well he did this year since it was all day long! The first year of preschool he cried for the first 2 weeks! The second year of preschool (and he had one of the teachers from the year before, and a couple of the same kids in his class) he cried the first 2 days, which was an improvement from the year before, but I really had thought after the first year he wouldn’t have cried. He used to be our quiet and shy little guy. By the end of his second year of preschool he had become our ornery and rowdy little boy! He is always trying to get laughs! I sure hope he doesn’t get into any trouble this year!
Now our little one that will be starting preschool in a couple of weeks used to be our ornery and rowdy little boy and now he is our quiet and shy guy. It’s like they completely flip flopped on me. I guess if one is going to be crazy it’s best that they take turns instead of all of them being crazy at the same time! Don’t get me wrong though, there are many many times when our house seems to be full of a bunch of craziness! Ha!
It has been a long day! Towards the end of the day I just sat here waiting for the boys to get home. Of course, they really didn’t have a whole lot to tell me about their day. They talked about recess and lunch and all the fun stuff, but didn’t want to talk anymore when I started asking what they did in class. That’s when they decided to go off and play. They are always so busy!
They are tuckered from rising early this morning and their long day at school and then playing at home tonight before bed. Usually we hear them talk for a bit when we lay them down to sleep, but not tonight! It is so quiet…ahhhhhhh 🙂
