Today was our 4 year old’s first day of preschool. It is actually sort of the stepping stone to his independence. I guess you could say that I’m a very overprotective parent. Since I am a stay at home Momma I really don’t have a sitter for the boys. My hubby and I never really do anything without our boys. We pretty much do everything as a family. However, I do get away every now and then to go shopping, but the boys are always with their Daddy when I’m away. I’m not saying we have never had a sitter because my in-laws, my mother, my sister, and hubby’s brother have watched the kids a few times so that we could go to doctor’s appointments or school functions that the other kids were not allowed to attend (parent teacher conferences) and so forth. So I’m sure you can see why it is so hard for me and my child to be separated. However, he did great!!! I even managed to NOT cry! My hubby took the whole day off so he could be there for the first day to pick him up and drop him off. I think this is great, and it really does help me out too!
It has been a really busy day and we are all tired and ready to sit back and relax.
