Family time is very important to us. I can remember a time in my life when I thought that I was going to be a family that ran slow, one that would do everything together and we’d never be rushing in and out from one appointment to another. While the thought was great, life happens and when you have a bigger family like ours you find yourself rushing, at least on occasion. There are those times when you have to have one child on the soccer field at a specific time while the other needs to be all the way across town at the exact same time for a sport or another activity. It happens, and that is why I love family night.

You can call it what you want— game night, family bonding night—but whatever you call it, it’s the same, time well spent together. One thing you can never get back is time, and that is why I go out of my way to set time aside to do little things with my children…like building puzzles.
We didn’t start building puzzles until somewhat recently. Our 4 and 6 year old boys became quite fond of puzzles at fairly young ages (2 and 4) and we were always picking them up new puzzles to complete. They were always so proud when they had put their little masterpiece together, but the puzzles I had been buying them started to become a breeze, so one day I decided to get a family puzzle. One that we could all do together as a family, although I knew my older boys were going to grouch at first at the thought of sitting in one place for a long period of time and trying to do something so simple, but they obliged.
Surprisingly, the puzzle building became a fun family bonding time. We all sat around the table talking and laughing while we built our puzzle and so when the puzzle was finished…we built another!
I may be a little spoiled with White Mountain Puzzles. They sent us a few great puzzles that our family could piece together and try out. We had so much fun with them that we have since been back to their site to search for even more great puzzles! I can’t believe the huge selection they have on their site! I also really like how their site is set up so that you can shop by theme, number of pieces or by difficulty or artist. We’ve found a lot of really fun puzzles at White Mountain Puzzles.
Don’t take my word for it though, check out their site for yourself: www.whitemountainpuzzles.com
