If you were talk to anyone that knows me now, or has known me since I was a small girl, they would probably all tell you about my love for shoes. I’m not exactly sure when it started, but I have always had a real love of shoes. I can remember saving my allowance for a new pair of shoes. I can also remember purchasing shoes for my youngest sister every year for her birthday. I’m pretty sure I rubbed off on her and instilled a love of shoes upon her as well.

As I grew older I began to realize that not all shoes are made equally, and I wanted to make sure that the shoes I was wearing were comfortable, but also good quality and fashionable. I recently came across a shoe company that makes just that—Fuchsia Shoes.

About Fuchsia Shoes:

They believe that people don’t just want a comfortable pair of shoes — they want to know that their purchase actually benefits the artisans behind a product. Sadly, the footwear industry is filled with stories of labor abuse, sweatshop conditions, and unfair wages. But it doesn’t have to be that way. That’s what Fuchsia’s sustainable footwear is all about: high-quality, environmentally responsible shoes which genuinely benefit the artisans who make them.

Fuchsia shoes are made in Sangla Hill, a remote town in Pakistan with a history stretching back to the time of Alexander the Great. Here, each pair of flats is handcrafted in a traditional workshop by a group of artisans who are passionate about using their skills to support their families and community. By making shoes for Fuchsia, they not only get to do what they love, they also receive a respectable living income which provides them and their loved ones with food, shelter, education, and health care.

Fuchsia is committed to treating these artisans with respect and dignity, supporting them as they continue a centuries-old tradition of time-honed craftsmanship. Not only does this result in a sustainable, environmentally responsible manufacturing process, it also means their customers can enjoy unique, handmade products which would otherwise be inaccessible to a global audience.

My Isla Shoes From Fuchsia Shoes:

I reviewed a pair of the Isla shoes from Fuchsia Shoes. I must say that I actually like them more than I thought I would! They are comfortable and super cute! They are also made great and make me feel like I’m wearing a pair of high dollar designer shoes! I love the way the shoes feel when I’m wearing them. Most dress shoes leave me with blisters, or feeling like I need to get off of my feet after wearing them for a while. These do NOT do any of that.  As a matter of fact, they are so comfortable and almost feel like I’m not wearing shoes, which is great for days that I’m on my feet a lot.

Shoes are not all that Fuchsia Shoes carries. You can also check out their scarves and bags as well. We think you will love the products they offer. The hardest part will be deciding which style is best for you.
