Fun Attractions in Tennessee: Hollywood Wax Museum & Mirror Maze

Spending time with the family is important and that is one of our biggest reasons for fitting a summer vacation in when we can. We may not be able to take one every year, but we cherish the times we are able to load up and hit the road together as a family. You may remember from some of our earlier posts that we headed to the hills this year…the Great Smoky Mountains in TN.

While away on our little getaway we were to visit quite a few attractions. Let me tell you, if you are looking for something fun to do this summer, or if you are planning for next summer, you really must consider visiting the Pigeon Forge area in TN! There are so many things to do and so much to see!

The Hollywood Wax Museum in Pigeon Forge, TN

Our first stop was to the Hollywood  Wax Museum. I honestly wasn’t sure if my boys were going to like this. I thought it might be a little boring for them, and I think they thought the same thing. We were all pleasantly surprised at how much fun we had. Our boys are even talking about going back again next year!

The Hollywood Wax Museum was amazing from the outside to the inside!

We had so much fun visiting the Hollywood Wax Museum! We will definitely be going back!

It’s hard to guess which ones are statues, isn’t it?

Our boys had so much fun getting into character with the different statues.

My husband even got in on the fun!

I even got in some of the photos! I apologize for the quality of the photos, this is what happens when my husband gets hold of a camera.

My husband is a huge Elvis fan, so it was a little nice witnessing him having coffee with Elvis!

When we were finished at the Wax Museum we headed across the parking lot to the Castle of Chaos for a fun Mirror Maze!

The Hollywood Entertainment buildings are absolutely amazing! The design and detailing that goes into them is like nothing I have ever seen.

Mirror Maze Collage

This was in the beginning of the Mirror Maze. The boys were a little scared when the lights first went out, but they were pretty excited when the wizard started to talk and they got to see the princess.

And then we were off to rescue the princess!

We had so much fun visiting the Hollywood Wax Museum and the Hollywood Mirror Maze!

I live very close to this. Did you guys go to Splash Country or Ober Gatlinburg? I love it there too. We went to the Black Bear Jamboree around Christmas and I had a blast. They served dinner and had a wonderful show for kids and adults. Gotta go there next time you visit!!! Rent a chalet to stay in or stay at WILDERNESS IN THE SMOKIES. You can get really good deals on the website or go to google for coupon codes. That was fun for the kids in the afternoon!

We love going to the Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge area! I would LOVE to live down there, but all of my family is here. 😉 We did not go to Splash Country or Ober Gatlinburg this time. It rained the days we went to Gatlinburg so we didn’t stay long. We still have not been to the Black Bear Jamboree either, although I would love to check it out sometime! We actually stayed in a cozy cabin in Cosby. I’m going to check out Wilderness sometime though since you recommend it. Thanks so much! 🙂

I have been to a couple of Wax Museums and it is crazy how realistic the wax figures can be. I have never been to a Mirror Maze but it sounds like lots of fun!
