For those of you that are in Ohio or the surrounding areas I am highly recommending COSI, the Center of Science and Industry. Don’t believe me? Parent’s Magazine ranked COSI the #1 Science Center in the COUNTRY! That’s huge! Speaking of huge, so is COSI! I’m not talking about a quick walk-through, look and leave. No, I’m talking about a fun-filled day full of adventure and learning! We have been to COSI many times, but it just never seems to get old. Our boys beg to go back time and time again!

We had a chance to visit COSI not long ago free of charge for a review. While there we were able to sit down, relax and watch the Butterfly show. Now I have to tell you that this was our first time watching a 3d movie and we had no idea what to expect. To be honest, my husband and I were reluctant to sit down for a movie at the science center because we thought it might be boring. I have to say though, we were pleasantly surprised because the Flight of the Butterflies movie was far from boring—it was fascinating! We felt like we were right there with the people in the movie with butterflies fluttering by our heads, it was amazing and wonderful all at the same time!

Our boys—all 5 of them—sat through the entire show without asking, “Are we done yet?” or saying, “This is boring” or even, “Can we change the channel (because you know there’s always one person that doesn’t want to watch what the others are watching at home). When we left that day the boys could not stop talking about the Flight of the Butterflies show. They couldn’t wait to tell their friends and teachers, and they named it their favorite part of the day! (It was mine too!)

That’s not all we did while at COSI though. There are so many exhibits and hands-on activities that you could get lost in there! I joke that my husband turns into a kid again when we go to COSI, but it really is true. Where else can you go, spend hours of fun as a family and yet learn the whole time? There aren’t many places that offer what COSI has to offer, that’s for sure!
