When we moved to a new town several years ago we enrolled our children into a small private school for a couple of years and then started homeschooling shortly thereafter. When our children were in the public school there were a few people that really stood out and made a difference to them (and me) and one of them was the school nurse. I think our children will always remember their sweet school nurse, June. She was always so kind to the children and really went above and beyond her job duties.
Does your school nurse go above and beyond in educating and comforting the students?
If so, this contest is for you! We want to hear all about your school nurse and how they have gone above expectations. Nominations will be accepted nationwide from anyone who would like to honor their exemplary school nurse.
One nurse from each state, plus Washington D.C., will win a prize valued at $500 and will be entered to win the grand prize: the title of America’s Greatest School Nurse and a trip for a getaway from school sickness!
Visit AmericasGreatestSchoolNurse.com for more information and to read the full contest rules and submit your nomination. Nominations will be accepted from January 9th to February 23rd. Voting will be open from April 3rd to April 16th and the winners will be announced in early May.
Kids tend to get sick, even when we have great school nurses around, it’s bound to happen. When the sickness hits it is best to use brands of Pfizer Consumer Healthcare, such as Children’s Advil®, Children’s Robitussin® and Children’s Dimetapp® – to tackle the ickiest of symptoms.
You don’t want your little love bug feeling icky. Ease those aches and pains and reduce those fevers fast with Children’s Advil®. This is a great solution for children as young as 2 and up to 11. You can also get it in several flavors including: Sugar-free Dye-free Berry, Bubble Gum, Grape, Blue Raspberry, Fruit and Dye-Free White Grape flavors.
If your child is under the age of two you will want to reach for the Infants’ Advil® White Grape, which provides unsurpassed fever relief (among OTC pain relievers) with a syringe for easy dosing for children 6-23 months.
We recently had a nasty cough going through our house. It seemed to last forever and while we felt fairly good, other than the cough, we just wanted to be over the sickness all together. We were relieved when we received Children’s Robitussin® Extended-Release 12 Hour Cough Relief to control and relieve symptoms all-day or all- night. This really was a lifesaver for us, especially with the holidays and all of the get togethers we had to attend. It’s available in grape or orange flavor, for children ages 4 and up. (Please note, certain Children’s Robitussin® products are only suitable for children ages 6 and up.)
Another product that was very helpful was the Children’s Dimetapp® Multi-Symptom Cold Relief Dye-Free. It eases your child’s stuffy and runny nose, while quieting a bothersome cough. My boys also love the grape flavor, and I love that it is dye-free. This is for children ages 6 and up.
*It is important to remember to always read and keep the cartons for complete warnings and dosing information on Pfizer Pediatric products and to use as directed.
