We had a birthday boy today! This morning he came creeping down the steps and into the living room. I wished him a Happy Birthday, probably a little louder than I should have given he had just woke up, but it was means to celebrate! He looked at me sort of with one eye completely opened and the other half open/half shut. There was this real look of confusion on his sweet little half asleep face. I don’t think it had quite hit him that today actually was his birthday. We had been talking about his birthday coming for so long that I don’t think he really ever thought it was going to get here. Of course, once he was fully awake (which didn’t take long at all)he made it a point to let everyone know all day long that it was his birthday! I believe birthdays last about a week or so around here. At least that is how it seems. It’s a lot of fun, but once they are over I feel whooped! We are having his big birthday party on Saturday and on Sunday we are off to Chuck E Cheese! I’m hoping we can get lots of great pics! 🙂
He thought he was pretty big stuff today because he was getting a lot of phone calls from relatives wishing him a happy birthday!
So today we went to lunch with Mammaw (my Mom.) She asked the birthday boy where he wanted to go for lunch and of course he said McDonalds! Of all places! That’s ok though, we had fun! When we were finished eating we made what I thought was going to be a quick trip to the grocery store. The trip ended up being over an hour! The boys LOVE going to the grocery with Mammaw because she just can’t say no to their little faces. They sure did come home with a lot!
After supper Grandma and Grandpa (my hubby’s parents) came over. We had cupcakes and icecream. We spent the rest of the night out playing in the yard.
