Wow, it’s been a while since I have actually posted. I mean, I know I have been busy getting some really GREAT contests going for you all, but I am thinking maybe you all miss me as much as I miss your comments! Or at least I hope you do!
Well here I am to fill you all in on what has been going on with us. First though, I must say that it’s so very quiet at my house right now! We are getting into such a great routine now that school has been in session for a little while. The baby now naps while his 4 year old brother is in preschool! How did I manage that you ask? I’m not real sure, but I really must say it’s working out great! I straightened the house up earlier and just threw a load of laundry in, so I have a little time to sit down, relax…and Blog! 🙂
Last week was pretty hectic. As you know if you read my blog last week my hubby was sick. A couple of the boys ended up catching the bug as well. No one was really too sick, except my hubby! I’m sure you all know that when a man gets sick he thinks he is sicker than anyone has EVER been and it is just the end of the world if he doesn’t get to lay around and whine and get waited on ALL DAY LONG! It’s fine when this only lasts for about a day, but my hubby was home from work Wed.-Friday! And then we had the whole weekend! However, he was feeling pretty good by the weekend and wasn’t requiring my nursing anymore. Thank goodness! Everyone is well in our house now, and we hope to keep it like that! It seems like the sickies are going around like crazy right now. I just hope the h1n1 stays away from us!
Yesterday my 6 year old and 4 year old were playing in the living room off the back of the house. This is one of the rooms that we have not added onto yet. I’m not sure if I have mentioned (but I’m sure I have) that our house is very old. The back living room is actually a block room that was added onto the house. We sided over the block on the outside of the house, but the walls on the inside are still hard block walls that are just plastered and painted over. Sounds like a dungeon, I know, but it’s a pretty big room and isn’t like it sounds. Anyways, the boys were back there playing and my 6 year old took off running into the other room, the dog ran in front of him, he tripped over the dog and hit his head off of the block walls! He is one that has a high pain tolerance, but oh my did he scream! He had a knot pretty much immediately, and I debated going to the hospital, but after putting ice on it for a little bit the knot started to go down and he was fine. Thank goodness! I hate when my little ones get hurt! I want to cry right along with them.
