I am sure many of you remember when we test drove the new Ford Explorer earlier in the year? I stated that my favorite feature about the car was the back-up camera. I only drove the vehicle for one week, but after driving it for a week, when I got back into my regular vehicle and went to back out of my driveway, I missed the back-up camera. I missed it so much I nearly begged my poor husband to buy me one of these vehicles. Considering the price of the vehicle and the fact that the particular vehicle we had test drove didn’t have enough seats for my entire family to go for a drive at once, we didn’t buy the vehicle.
When I was contacted about reviewing a Peak Back-Up Camera for my vehicle, I’m not going to lie, I was pretty darn excited. This was my way of getting my dream vehicle. Now I have my vehicle that fits my whole family, but I can see if anyone or anything is behind me before backing out of my driveway. The safety of my children is number one. Not just my children though, the safety and well being of everyone is important. Have you ever been in a parking lot and started backing only to find the person backing from the row behind you laying on their horn? I have. I also love that with the back up camera I can tell if I really am as close to the vehicle behind me as it feels like I am. It saves me a lot of time backing and going forward and backward over and over again. (Much less embarrassment!)
What about that hard to buy for person on your Christmas list? The Back-Up Camera System with color lcd monitor is not only for parents. This is great for anyone driving a car. That’s right, it’s great for elderly, new drivers, parents, teens, and everyone in between. Why risk it? I love the fact that I can always see what is behind me!
