Wow, I can’t believe that this week is the start of the busy Holiday season. Thanksgiving is only a couple of days away. Are you ready? I must admit that I have been thinking more about Black Friday than what dish
I am going to prepare for our holiday gatherings. Are you as excited as I am?
There are a few things that I like to do to prepare for this busy shopping day.
I like to make sure that I have comfy shoes. (These are important if I am going to be fast and be the first to get that must-have item everyone got up early for-or stayed up all night for.)
I also like to be sure I have a good purse. I don’t want to be carrying a purse that is going to easily fall off of my shoulder or one that doesn’t have a good closure. With the economy the way it is, you just never know who might try what. Although I don’t mind going online for my free credit score, I don’t want to find that my credit was compromised while out doing my Black Friday shopping.
I also like to make sure that I am comfortable. I’m not going in my fanciest clothing and I’m certainly not going to be wearing my tightest pair of jeans. That being said, you won’t find me out shopping in my pajamas and slippers either. (Yes, I actually see people like this every year.)
A MUST HAVE is my coffee! That’s right, I have to have my trusty cup of coffee to get me started and to keep me going. Without my coffee I may crash and have to refuel before continuing my shopping and that would just be bad since we are on a first come first serve basis.
And ladies, why don’t we just throw a little snack in our bags? You know those lines are going to be long, you are going to be bored and you are going to be starving. Why not bring along some gum and maybe even some sort of candy or snack to keep us going.
Make sure you bring your cell phone charger. I hate when my phone goes dead when my friends are all the way across the store. We like to take turns charging our phones while in the vehicle, that way this never happens. Plus, you can play on facebook or whatever it is you like to do, while you are standing there waiting in those long lines.
Most importantly, make sure you have your CASH! That’s right, because it would really stink to get to the checkout after waiting in line all of that time, only to find that you do not have any cash on you. (It could happen.)
What will you be doing to prepare for Black Friday?
Do you go with a big crowd or do you go by yourself?
Will you be doing things like I do to ensure you are carrying the right purse and so forth that way you don’t find any unexpected charges on your credit cards when you check your FreeScore?
