Hollywood Wax Museum & Mirror Maze: Must-See Adventures

If you are planning a family getaway to the Pigeon Forge, Tennessee area, the Hollywood Wax Museum Entertainment Center is a must-visit destination that promises fun for all ages! We just got back from a fun-filled family vacation in which all of our children (plus our bonus child) were able to attend. We were thrilled to be visiting these attractions again as it has been many years since our last trip. As a matter of fact, our younger children didn’t remember it! Our recent visit was filled with so many laughs and unforgettable memories! Here is a little peek into what we experienced…

🏆 Meet the Stars at the Wax Museum

The Hollywood Wax Museum in Pigeon Forge is the largest wax museum in the United States, offering an impressive collection of lifelike figures of celebrities from film, television, and music. As you stroll through the museum, you’ll encounter A-list stars, classic entertainers, and pop culture icons. Each exhibit is thoughtfully designed, allowing visitors to get up close and personal with the figures. Many displays include props like hats, glasses, and microphones, encouraging guests to pose for photos and unleash their inner celebrity.

🪞 Hannah’s Maze of Mirrors: A Magical Challenge

Adjacent to the wax museum, Hannah’s Maze of Mirrors offers an enchanting experience for families. Inside the mirrored castle, you’ll embark on a quest to rescue Princess Hannah. With 288 potential turns and countless reflections, the maze is both fun and disorienting. Interactive characters like King Oscar and Queen Emmy provide hints along the way, making the journey engaging and entertaining. We enjoyed the Mirror Maze just as much with the kids in their teens and as young adults as we did when they were quite little! It just never gets old! 

🧟 Outbreak: Dread the Undead – A Thrilling Adventure

For those seeking a bit of thrill, the Outbreak attraction is a must-try. This zombie-themed experience immerses visitors in a post-apocalyptic world where a viral outbreak has turned humans into the undead. Navigate through a ransacked biotech lab, morgue, and basement, all while trying to avoid becoming a zombie yourself. The combination of animatronics and live actors creates a thrilling atmosphere that will keep your heart racing. I must say- we have been to other haunted houses/adventures and this one had a unique twist as even the air “smelled” of horror! You must experience for the full effect but be prepared to drag your family member along as you walk through the thrilling adventure! 

🎮 Castle of Chaos: A 5D Adventure

For an interactive experience, Castle of Chaos offers a unique blend of a haunted house and a 5D shooting game. Armed with laser blasters, you’ll face off against werewolves and other creepy creatures in a dynamic environment that moves and reacts to your actions. This attraction is suitable for older children and adults, providing a perfect mix of fun and fright. We were unsure if this one would be as much fun since most of our kids are young adults now, but boy we were wrong- everyone had a blast (pun intended). 

📸 Tips for the Perfect Visit

• Capture the Moments: Don’t forget your camera or smartphone! The museum encourages photography, allowing you to take as many pictures as you like with the wax figures.

• All Access Pass: Consider purchasing the All-Access Pass, which grants entry to all attractions, including the wax museum, Hannah’s Maze of Mirrors, Outbreak, and Castle of Chaos. (We were so happy to have the all-access pass!)

• Family Fun: The attractions are designed to be family-friendly, with varying levels of thrill to cater to different age groups.
