My days seem busy and I feel like I’m always rushing from one thing to another. I have a hard time sitting down with a book (even my devotional) most days and I often wish I had more hours in the day and more time to sit and reflect on things. I love to read, but books often fall at the bottom of my to-do list. I have tried many apps for devotions and other daily messages, but I often forget about them as my days get busier.

One app that I really love (and I’ll tell you why in a minute) is the iDisciple app. Not only do I find it great to read, but there are short video/audio messages that really hit the spot. I can listen to a quick audio message while I’m cooking, tying shoes, grading papers or doing laundry. It doesn’t matter what I’m doing, I’m always in need of a little pick me up.
Today I was listening to a message titled, Pizza Delivery Guy. The message was about how God is not the pizza delivery guy who exists to take orders; He is your Lord who is waiting for a relationship. That is so very true and oftentimes we tend to place orders and wait for them to be delivered. We need to MAKE the time to speak with our Lord on a regular basis. Oh how this message has hit the spot this morning.
I know you’re probably busy.
I am too.
But, for a minute- it won’t take long, I promise, I’d like for you to sit down and consider what it might be like if you had a place you could go (on your own time) to really relax and enjoy some “Me” time. But that’s not all, this place is going to fill you with hope, understanding and reassurance.
This is exactly what I get from iDisciple.
The funny thing, I have more time. Weird, right? I know, I thought so too, but it’s true. I’m finding more time to sit and read. And maybe it’s because I already had that time, I just didn’t think I did. How much time do you spend on social media sites and emails every day? Yeah, probably more than you’d like to acknowledge, right? That’s where I was at. I decided that I was going to take a little bit of that time and I was going to open my iDisciple app and give myself something meaningful.
One message that really spoke to me was the one that says…We have the amazing privilege of running to the Lord, the Creator of the whole universe with our problems and what do we do? We Google.
How true is that? I mean, let’s be honest here….How many times have you had a problem and rather than pray about it, you spend countless hours on the internet trying to find a solution?
I’m with you. I’ve been there, done that.
iDisciple has truly been a blessing for me. I love that I can sit down for a moment in between my hectic schedule to read or listen to something that is really going to lift me up and help me become a better version of ME. iDisciple has your favorite christian content all in one place on all of your favorite devices. I use iDisciple on my laptop, cell phone and iPad, this way I always have it handy no matter where I am or what I’m doing. It’s really nice when I’m waiting in line someplace and I’m getting frustrated or discouraged about something. Waiting for a doctor’s appointment or feeling anxious about something? No problem, open the iDisciple app on your phone and read a quick message. I can assure you the wait will seem much shorter and you might even become frustrated when you’re up next and you have to interrupt your time on iDisciple.
I hope you will take a moment to check out the iDisciple app yourself. Please, don’t just take my word for it, check it out.

I think I need to look into this app. I am on my phone and social media more than I would like to admit or even believe. This would serve me better than a lot of the ones I have.
