I figured it’s time I let you all in on what’s been going on in my life. For the last couple of months I have been sick. I’ve had a hard time eating and just constantly feeling uncomfortable and in pain. I went to the ER at the beginning of July when the pains got really sharp. They said they thought it was my gallbladder and ordered an ultra sound for the following day. I went in for the ultra sound as ordered, and then waited 4 or 5 days to get the results back. The results were normal, but I wasn’t feeling normal so I tried to get in to see my family doctor. He was on vacation, so I waited. When my doc arrived back from vacation I made an appointment. He also thought it sounded like my gallbladder so he ordered some tests to be done at the hospital.
Another week went by before my results finally came in (someone forgot to sign off on them? That’s what I was told). The results showed that indeed my gallbladder was not functioning well. So, I was sent to a surgeon. I say this like it all happened quickly, but this all went on for a little over a month.
I had surgery on Monday.
I really thought I was going to be feeling amazing and so thankful that I had it done, but I still don’t feel well. I realize that it takes time to heal and I will feel better in due time, but it is sometimes just frustrating when you are sick for so long. So, that’s what I have been up to.
Please forgive me while I sit quietly under my heating pad sobbing because I’m not able to do fun things with my boys before the new school year starts. I think we may have to plan a fall vacation!
What have you been up to?
Are your children already back to school?

I am glad you got your surgery over with and the doctors figured out the problem. It is very frustrating not to feel well, but you just have to give your body time to heal and you will be back to normal! Take care and get well soon!
