What’s a typical day like at my house?
I couldn’t really sit down and explain a day to you, as all days are different in our house.
We have tried following schedules and making things run “the same” however that just doesn’t seem to work around here. We do have routine for some things, but then there are also a lot of things that just happen. You never really know what’s going to happen with a house full of silly boys.
Last night my boys were playing Dog the Bounty Hunter.
They have quite a bit of fun playing this. They love to watch the show, and my 5 year old told me today that I’m going to miss him for a while when he’s older because he is going to have to leave me for a bit to go off bounty hunting with Dog. He did inform me that it would be ok though because he would be right back. Silly boy! He also came up to me and asked when I’m going to take them to meet Dog and his family. Really? They live in Hawaii, and it’s so cold here right now that the thought sounds great right about now!
So I’m sitting on the couch nursing the baby and my oldest son is on the loveseat watching tv. Our 7 year old comes running into the living room and jumps on my 10 year old. He does this while yelling “I’m the Dog, the Big Bad Dog! I’m the Bounty Hunter and I’m here to get you!” (I may not have said that exact, but it was something along those lines. If you watch the show you probably know what he was talking about, and that show is on ALL of the time at our house!) Then all of a sudden I hear my 5 year old yell, Leland is here and I’m going to get ya! He jumps on top of my 10 and 7 year old. My 2 year old then comes running into the room and I’m still not sure if he was Duane Lee or Beth! ha ha! However, he was fast and he was ready to get the bad guy!
Here’s the funny part though…
All of a sudden my 7 year old yells, I got him, but I need a little help Baby Lyssa!
Out of nowhere my hubby comes running into the room and attacks them all!
How funny is that!? I really wish I would have gotten this on film! And I really want to know how Dad got to be Baby Lyssa!?
Silly Boys!
