It’s Back to School Time!
I can not believe that summer is almost over and that in only a couple of weeks the boys will be back in school! Wow, does time fly by when you are having fun! We will have 3 boys in school this year. Our 6 year old (he will be 6 at the end of August) will be in Kindergarten this year, our 8 year old will be in the second grade this year and our (almost) 11 year old will be in 6th grade this year! Why is it when I say 6th grade I feel SO OLD!?
We have been busy having fun all summer and I have failed to do my daily posts for you all.
What have we been doing?
Catching frogs, vacationing, visiting with family, swimming (2 of the boys just learned to swim on their own this year! Yay!), playing in the dirt, mud or anything else messy (that’s boys for ya) and of course blowing bubbles!
That’s right, around here we have bubble blowing contests! Ok, not really my choice of fun, but I caught the boys doing this the other day and you know me, I had to capture the moment and share it with all of my lovely readers who for some reason are just as amused by my 5 boys as I am. (I love you all!)
As you can see, we have been super busy this summer. It just keeps getting busier as school time approaches. I have been running around like crazy trying to find the perfect name brand backpack for each child (they are getting picky this year and costing Momma extra money, but no worries because I’m a bargain shopper!) I try to find the best deal on all of the school supplies from the pencils and erasers to the children’s clothing and sneakers. When you have 5 kiddos you bargain shop.
So, I want to know what you all have been up to?
Have you done anything really cool this summer and are you and your kids ready for school to start?
I admit that while I’m not exactly ready for my kids to go back to school, I am secretly daydreaming about how I’m going to lay the little two down for a nap at the same time and I’m going to sit in total silence. Oh wait, what was I thinking? I just burst my own bubble because that only happens in soap operas, right?
