Have you heard of www.joeshopping.com?

If not, that’s ok because I’m about to tell you all about this great new site! (I hadn’t heard of them until recently either, but am glad that I know about them now!) 

Joe Shopping is basically a combination of comparison shopping (like amazon or shopping.com) crossed with the best parts of various social networks (such as Facebook, Twitter and so forth.) Users can post photos of themselves with their newest outfits, add videos of themselves trying to take an action figure out of its packaging despite the huge amount of twisty ties (don’t we all love those?) You can write a product review of the millions of products in the database at joeshopping.com. There is also a place to write a blog post about your fondest birthday presents, or whatever you prefer to write about, such as sharing your latest shopping adventure or something else all together. (I’m sure I would be writing about something crazy that my boys did while I was trying to shop, whether it be online shopping or in the store. I have to say this because as I am typing I am the target of a dozen little nerf bullets! Boys!)

A Little About MY Experience on joeshopping.com…

It was very easy to sign up for an account. 

Once I was finished signing up for my account I was able to set up a profile. You can add a photo of yourself as well as information for others to see (age, marital status, job position and so forth.) You can put as little or as much info about yourself as you please, and you do not have to add a photo of yourself either. 

Next, I noticed that I was given some Joe Points. I clicked to get my free points and saw that I could get even more points by coming back the next day…how exciting! I love FREE! 

There is a monthly promotion at JoeShopping. The promotion is a random drawing for a $1,000 Monthly JoeShopping Sweepstakes! You earn JoePoints by using the social network part of the site. You can do things such as uploading a photo, writing a blog post, write a shopping status and so forth.)  You can earn points throughout the entire month. At the end of the month your total points are converted to entries in the sweepstakes. The more active you are on the site, the more points you can earn! So, the more active you are, the better your chances are of WINNING! 

You can also earn badges based on different activities that you do. These are just fun and cute little achievements to show off on your page. Below are examples of what some of the badges look like.
