I haven’t been posting like I used to. I wish I could say that I had all of the time in the world, but with being pregnant and chasing after 4 rowdy boys I am TIRED!
I am going to try to get a few posts in every week though so you all can try to keep up with us!
I like giving you all a little insight of what it is “really” like raising 4 boys!
Are you getting excited about finding out the sex of our new baby?
I am! Not much longer now!
My 6 year old came running into the house the other day. He was really excited and out of breath by the time he got to me. Of course I’m thinking something is wrong and I’m getting a little worried. He catches his breath a minute and then says…
“Mom, I need some vinegar and some baking soda!”
I’m like…”You need WHAT!?”
He says, “Don’t worry Mom, I’m just building a volcano!”
How funny!
I didn’t even know he knew how to build a volcano, but apparently he does. However, we were all out of baking soda, so they didn’t get to build their volcano after all.
My 2 year old has decided that it is finally time to start potty training. I can’t say that he is potty trained, or even anywhere close to it, but for the past 3 (maybe 4) days he has been coming up to me telling me “Pee Potty Mommy!”
The first 2 days that he started doing this he was actually peeing in his diaper while he was telling me he had to go on the potty. I still took him anyway and we would sit in the bathroom forever before he finally realized he had already peed all that he was going to pee. Today and some of yesterday have been much better. He is actually telling me before he starts to pee and he is peeing in the potty! (You may remember me posting about him peeing in the potty a while back? I had initiated the potty training at that time and he did it a few times, but then decided it wasn’t for him and refused from then on. I held off with the training and waited for him to show more signs of wanting to train. I guess he is ready now! At least I hope so! We are counting down the days before the new baby and it would be SO nice to NOT have 2 in diapers!)
My 4 year old is learning to ride his bike without training wheels. We have been using a balance bike for a little over a month or so now. It is great! Watch for the review and giveaway coming soon!
Our 9 year old has been a great little helper since Daddy has been away on business trips a lot. He is really stepping up and making things easier on Mommy! However, I really wish he could have mowed the lawn for me the day I had to push mow in the 80something degree weather…he he
Everyone is doing great here!
I hope you all are doing well too!
