Remember that huge kitchen remodel I told you about?
I promised you all that I would show you before and after pics when the kitchen was done.
Here goes…
Here is a BEFORE…
This is what the kitchen looked like when we moved in. Our house is VERY old (over 100 years!)
The cabinets were falling apart!
The next photo shows the very sloppy paint I slapped on, and the floor is very dirty b/c I was trying to clean up the yucky mess that was being tracked through. Trust me, this looked much better when the wall was covered with the wrap around bench/table, but it still was horrible!
We took that whole wall out. Behind it was the laundry room and there was a door leading to the outside. On the other wall was a small pantry. It is all gone now and the kitchen was extended all the way back.

So, what do you think?
The sad news…we are selling this house (hopefully) and moving to a new house.
It will be sad to leave this kitchen, but we are super excited to be moving closer to family and friends, and the new house is going to ROCK when we are done with it—over time.

Looks great! I can’t wait to re-do our kitchen…unfortunately it’s way down on the list of our things to do. LOL
The kitchen in our new house is pretty far down on our “things to do” list as well, although I would love to do it right away, but it’s definitely a very expensive remodel.

I am not a big fan of the wall paint but the kitchen looks AMAZING!! Love the ceiling and the vast amount pantry space!! Genius!
The walls are actually a very light sage green color, the photo does not show the true color. The before purple was AWFUL though! ha ha! We have different plans for the colors in the new house…can’t wait to get it! 🙂
Wow, I would say that is a HUGE improvement! And a lot of work! You are amazing. When we moved into our home, we redid the upstairs carpet, painted everything, and replaced a few things. But nothing major like this.
It was a huge remodel and it took us a while to finish it. It was worth it though.

It sure is! We had all intentions of staying 2 years ago when we started the remodel, but things have changed.
