I don’t know about you, but Mercer Mayer storybooks have been a part of our family for quite some time. I remember them from when I was young (see, I’m not THAT old!) My boys enjoy them just as much as we did as kids, and that excites me…just a little! (Yeah, I really love reading the books to my boys and am always happy when they choose a Mercer Mayer book!)
When the box arrived on our doorstep the other day my boys were all over it! They knew what was inside because of the fun decorative box and they couldn’t wait to rip it open! Inside the box were two of the Little Critter stuffed animals…Little Critter and Little Sister (my boys of course ripped sister’s bow off and called her little brother! ha ha!) Also in the box were 2 hardcover books…Little Critter’s Bedtime Storybook and Little Critter Jack and the Beanstalk. (Those aren’t the only options available…we’ll talk about the others in a bit).
From June 29 through September 30th customers (that’s YOU!) can visit Kohl’s stores and purchase Mercer Mayer’s Little Critter collection for just $5 each! The Kohl’s Cares program donates 100% of the net profit from each sale of this collection to support children’s health and education initiatives nationwide! What a great cause!

The Kohl’s Cares program is such a great program! We have been purchasing items from there program the past couple of years (especially great for birthday and Christmas gifts!) Since 2000, Kohl’s has raised more than $257 million for kids health and education initiatives through the Kohl’s Cares program, recognized more than 19,500 outstanding kids through the Kohl’s Cares Scholarship Program and donated more than 2.7 million hours of volunteer time through the Associates in Action volunteer program. Wow!
