4 year old says: Daddy, “C” (2 year old) keeps looking at my back and laughing.
Daddy: “C”(2 year old) why are you laughing at “Big C” (4 year old) back? Do you think his back is funny?
4 year old: Sighs
Maybe you can’t relate and it just seems really silly to you that I posted this today, but I know that someone out there can totally relate and “gets it”. I seriously laughed for 10 minutes after hearing this conversation from the other room. My husband just looked at me like I was crazy, but I couldn’t get over how cute they all were. Maybe I’m just super sleep deprived today? I have been running on McDonald’s Mocha (non-fat of course, I’ll save where I can—don’t try to tell me it’s not non-fat) and I’m having a hard time keeping my eyes open today. I think we sometimes try to take on more than we can handle, but oh the rewards in the end! I signed up to be the PTO Vice President at our new school earlier in the year. I was pretty nervous about this and knew that it was going to take my life from being a little busy to a little more busy, but I had no idea how much I would actually enjoy it. That’s right, I enjoy having things to do—other than take care of the house and kids and errand running and all of that. You know what I mean, right?
I also accepted a position at the school as secretary. I only work on Fridays, so it’s not really that stressful or anything and I love being at the school with my children, even though they are so shy and quiet (Yes, I said my BOYS are shy and quiet—weird, right?) that they act like they don’t even know me at school! Silly kids!
I’m not finished though, a couple of months ago I was asked to coordinate our school’s biggest fundraiser of the year. Now we have a very small school which runs on tuition and fundraisers alone, so you can see the pressure I must feel being in charge of the Biggest fundraiser, right? I took it on though because I’m willing to do anything once and I actually enjoy the challenge.
I was told that there were a couple of companies that just would not donate in the past, so what did I do? I continued to bug them until finally they said YES, well…some of them. I did get my fair share of No’s, but I didn’t let that discourage me. When I started to feel the stress of everything, I prayed that God would provide what we needed in order to make our auction a success and today I got an email from a friend with great news, she has donations. Between her donations, my donations and the donations of all of the other kind citizens and business owners I truly believe that God is blessing us and providing us with exactly what we need.
I can’t wait to tell you all how we do!
If you are a business owner (even a party plan rep) and you would like to donate to our auction (we greatly appreciate all donations large or small, and I can totally get you a tax write off form) please contact me right away (our auction is April 20th) so we can make arrangements. I’m also willing to offer free advertising on my site in exchange for the donations!

Haha, I totally get it! I spend a lot of time giggling over stuff my boys say that no one else thinks is nearly as amusing! 😉

Too cute! Clearly he was thinking “Ummm Dad, I laughed didn’t I?” I am always getting a kick out of the things my kids say and do! Thanks for sharing this moment with us.
