When I first moved out of my parents house and started cooking on my own I was lost. I had no idea how my parents got our food to be so flavorful. Every time I prepared a meal on my own it was bland and tasteless. When you are used to juicy flavorful steaks and yummy seasoned chicken, bland just won’t work.
I knew my parents had the answer, so I went to them. I pleaded, please teach me to cook so we don’t starve to death. And you know what they said? They said, put something on your food. Don’t be afraid to try new things. Mix stuff together that you think sounds good and experiment. And that is exactly what I did. My family loves that I can come up with new recipes on a whim and I love that I can keep them happy and coming back to my dinner table!
Tonight we made Pork. I wanted it to be healthy so I broiled it in the oven. I sprinkled Lawry’s Seasoned Salt on ones side of the pork and then brushed Lawry’s Mediterranean Herb & White Wine Marinade on both sides of the pork. It was delicious!
And since the marinade was so yummy I decided to cook our veggies in it. I roasted them in the pan with the marinade and then sprinkled grated Parmesan cheese on top. It was all very yummy.
You can use whatever veggies you would like. We used Green, yellow and orange peppers, cucumbers, brussel sprouts, onions and tomatoes.
All of the boys were pleased and they even asked for seconds!
