I’m talking about my hair!

All of my life I have had this in-between hair. It’s not super curly, but it’s not straight. It has always driven me crazy! My mother has pretty straight hair and my sisters have pretty curly hair, but mine is just blah—sort of wavy when it wants to be, limp and frizzy. I don’t have super thick hair like my younger sister or perfect coloring like my other sister, but I do have hair, so I should be happy, right?

I recently tested out Aveda Naturally Straight products. Let me just tell you a little about the products before I go any further.

Aveda Smooth Infusion™ Naturally Straight is a lightweight styling creme that progressively loosens curls every time you style. The product is made from naturally derived plant fibers that invisibly attach to your hair to loosen curl and help lock in straightness. (Pretty awesome, right!?) The formal’s humidity barrier of organic assava extract and maize defends your hair against frizz. (One of my favorite features! The frizz to me is even worse than the curl!) The way the product works is over time. The more you use it, the easier it is to create straight, smooth styles. That means over time you will spend less time with your flat iron! The product is safe for color treated and relaxed hair (thank goodness because I had just colored my hair before I started using the product!) The best part of all is that your hair will stay straight for up to three washes after five consecutive applications of Naturally Straight.

I was definitely impressed with my results after only using the products for a couple of days. By the second day I was feeling like I had been to a salon. My hair was smooth and shiny and had so much style to it! Typically my hair is thin looking and dull. I did notice that when I apply too much product (I have thin hair), I don’t get the results I am looking for. My hair is a little weighed down with too much product on it, however when I just add a small dab onto my hands, rub in and mix into hair, I have salon looking hair! I’m so excited about this new product and am pretty happy that it only takes a small bit to get the desired look I want! (Less is better—and saves me money!)
